Narzędzie to posiada własny język skryptowy wystarczający do większości prostych działań przeprowadzanych w aplikacji. Pozwala on manipulować kolorem, pozycją, rozmiarem itd. Brakuje w nim jednak niektórych struktur konwencjonalnych języków programowania. Te ograniczenia nie powstrzymały autora przed zaimplementowaniem kultowej gry Pac-Man w GeoGebrze.

How to make games in GeoGebra

GeoGebra application is great tool for mathematics visualization for all levels of education that brings together geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics and calculus in one easy-to-use package. The tool use ease scripting language, which is good enough for mathematical computing and capable to change colours, position, scale of objects. Disadvantage of the language is lack of programming structures that are used in conventional programming. That limitations did not stop the author from remaking iconic game Pac-Man using GeoGebra software.

The presentation shows project design phases and difficulties with writing advanced applets in GeoGebra. It contains interesting solutions for problems the author was stressed to solve to make game working. It will also explain how to emulate conventional programming structures, like loops and procedures, in GeoGebra and how it is possible for user to control applet using arrow keys. All these implementations were only possible with some outstanding approaches to the solution. At the end of the presentation the author shows simple game in GeoGebra and explains how it works and how it uses most of methods mentioned in the presentation.
